We are pleased to announce that the two lucky winners of our “Xmas Wish for Govan” prize draw (as randomly drawn by Audrey and Andrew, pictured above) are Elizabeth Baillie and Roseanne McKee who each find themselves in receipt of £30 worth of High Street Vouchers just in time for a Xmas treat.

To be entered in the draw, all you had to do on the night was make a wish for Govan for 2017, and the people of Govan made over 150 amazing Christmas wishes. If the Christmas Fairy is listening, then 2017 will grant us (in no particular order)…

A swimming pool, better play areas, a skatepark and community gardens.
Good health, peace, happiness and prosperity.
No more Child Poverty or homelessness.
More and better jobs for everybody.
A bustling Saturday market and bigger, better shops.
    Cleaner streets and safer roads.
    A bridge to Patrick.
A heritage trail, planters and good cycle lanes.
More family and community events, full of song, laughter and community spirit.
A youth centre, with lots to do for young people.
    Our own Christmas Lights.
A Light and Sound sensory park for Children.
Toilets and a big playpark for Elderpark.
To keep going from strength to strength.
Much less rain and plenty of Sunshine, and last, but by no means least…
a big wish for a Merry Christmas for all humans (and dogs).

May all YOUR wishes come true for 2017.
