From Govan To Goma

‘From Govan to the GoMA’ is a collaborative documentary, produced as part of a project commissioned by Glasgow Life in conjunction with The British Art Show 7 and The Gallery of Modern Art. Produced by filmmaker Kirsten MacLeod with the Govan Seniors Film Group, the film explores the group’s enquiries into modern art. The documentary and art work produced by the group during the project were exhibited at Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (the GoMA) in 2011. An exhibition of photographs was later exhibited in 2012 at The People’s Palace Community Art Space. During the project the group collaborated with artist Belinda Gilbert Scott, photographer, Kathleen Little and the Time for Art Group at The Tramway.
