COMMUNITY NEWS PROJECT

This magazine style project is open to anyone who would like to gain the skills required to put together a short news article or feature. The film could be about your organisation, a community issue, or just your personal interest. You will learn how to plan, shoot and edit your story and post it on the internet for the world to share.

Our initial training sessions will provide an introduction to the filmmaking process, then you can work with our team to develop your idea and your filmmaking skills. In the long term we would like to build a team of presenters, film crew and editors who would be on hand to report on local life.

We run a drop in on a Tuesday afternoon from 2pm at The Portal and plan to run another block of training sessions early in 2009 - please contact us if you'd be interested in taking part.
