    We deliver jewellery making courses as outreach – taking the programme to you.

    We deliver weekly craft groups where people can benefit from peer to peer support while learning new skills.

    In addition to attending a weekly group there are opportunities to get involved in wider activities.

  5. Welcome to Govan

    The welcome videos offers a list of organisations for those arriving who do not know the area and acts as a signposting tool for those in need of advice and support. The videos have been translated by participants into Amharic, Tigrinya and Arabic.

  6. Govan Allsorts Community Choir

    An inspirational group of local people get together each week to join in voice and heart and make the world a little brighter.

  7. Artist In Residence – Urban Sketching Group

    Every day we walk down the same streets and visit the same places, yet how often do we forget to take a good look around us? Local Artist in Residence, Fiona Fleming would like to invite you to take a fresh new look at the streets and buildings of Govan and join her Urban Sketching Group.

  8. Bead ‘n’ Blether

    Get together to chat, learn new skills and make beautiful pieces of jewellery for yourself, your friends and your family.

  9. Well Said

    Current

    The ‘Well Said’ project has been developed in response to the ongoing requests from individuals with great film ideas who need help in making them happen.

  10. CREATE CREW (AGES 12-16)

    Current

    A welcoming creative club for young people with varied workshops in drama, script writing, film making, radio drama, dance, costume design, beat-boxing, singing and creative arts.

  11. Portal Kidz Club (Ages 5-11)

    Current

    A fun club for budding artists and performers to develop their creativity. In the past year this group have learned singing, drama, dance, guitar, costume making and have performed in front of 500 people for our ‘Clydeside Story’ project.

  13. Woolly Wednesdays

    This volunteer-led group has a very relaxed vibe as they get together to share their skills in knitting and crochet.

  14. The Portal Seniors Film Club

    Current

    This fantastic group of over 50’s meet every week to explore their creativity, share their stories and just enjoy the banter .
